Job Description
The Director, Physician Engagement is responsible for enhancing the physician?s experience with MedSynergies and health system clients who employ physicians; expectations, creating momentum and building unity of purpose, through the use of MedSynergies Engage toolset.
Adds to the development of MedSynergies ?Engage? methodologies and practices designed to optimize client or joint venture results by fully engaging physicians.
Implements ?Engage? methodologies and practices designed to optimize client or joint venture results by fully engaging physicians. Educates executives, Client Delivery/Management, and other key stakeholders on the same.
Conducts gap analysis to determine deficiencies in the physician?s experience with Joint Venture, prioritizes key initiatives and organizational readiness. Leads the stakeholder interview process and in most cases, conducts face-to-face stakeholder interviews.
Coordinates the dissemination of stakeholder matrix results and folds them into actionable strategic planning.
Guides clients through developing Compact, Burning Imperative and Value Proposition suing MedSynergies ?Engage? methodologies and practices.
Coaches clients as needed to foster feedback loop.
Consults with clients to construct efficient governance models in an effort to foster valuable communication between system and employed physician enterprise.
Participates in special projects and/or completes other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
For the first year, spend 40% time participating in the development process for product toolsets and 60% travel into the field. After first year, phasing into more time in the field, up to 80% as client base grows and product line matures.
Must have excellent communication skills; writing, speaking and listening.
Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians and senior leadership, sometimes under difficult circumstances.
Must be able to influence decision making and direction without utilizing dictatorial style authority.
Must possess potential to assimilate management of Physician Engagement portion of MedSynergies ?Engage? product line as it grows and matures.
Required Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Master?s degree in Business Administration desirable.
10+ years? experience managing a large, specialty, or multi-site practice required.
Experience healthcare industry consulting useful.
