Director, Product Development Archive Systems

Purpose of Position:
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on technical manager to lead product development for our SAAS offerings as part of the Archive Systems development team. You will be responsible for leading a team of software developers to deliver significant improvements to our flagship offerings as well as to create new products across mobile platforms. You will partner with leaders across our Product Development areas and lead cross-functional teams in defining and delivering highly available solutions to delight our customers and increase their productivity. You will also provide technical direction, coaching, and mentoring to employees on your team and others when necessary to achieve successful project outcomes. This position reports to the SVP Product Development.
Translate business requirements and objectives into pragmatic, actionable implementation plans.
Provide guidance about product architecture, technology adoption, process and people.
Identify and implement best practices to fit the market, organization, and people.
Maintain and enhance existing products and solve complex problems.
Drive quality into the design and implementation process.
Consistently produce high-quality software on-time and within budget.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment.
Identify and clearly articulate trade-offs to management.
Work with other cross-functional teams to solve company issues or seize market and business opportunities.
Interact with clients to obtain technical details regarding problems or new development.
Document process or procedures within IT department.
Strong ability to work effectively and autonomously to achieve and exceed stated deliverables.
Able to interact well with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Professional Services, Accounting and Client Support.
Minimum 10+ years with at least 4 years hands-on experience working in the .NET environment including practical experience with VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, IIS, TFS, Visual Studio and SQL Server.
Experience in a software company that implemented and sold software products in a competitive marketplace.
Experience being the lead developer and/or development manager on past projects.
Thorough understanding of web development in ASP.NET.
Solid understanding of database design, tuning and SQL programming.
Thorough understanding of object oriented programming.
Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with agile processes such as Scrum.
Experience with SaaS products and multi-tenant architectures.
Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
