A key leader in our global product & experience group, this role is responsible for managing and inspiring product and engineering teams to continually improve the Zipcar member experience across interaction and delivery channels, including mobile, web, car, customer support, payments and more.
Lead end-to-end product roadmap prioritization for continuous end-to-end improvement of the core service across direct member interaction areas (join, reserve, drive, engage) and channels such as mobile, web, and phone, as well as back of house interactions that impact member experience such as IVR, agent, payment, vehicle and data.
Lead the product owners that manage the engineering teams/development across the aforementioned sprint team areas to ensure on-time, frequent delivery of member improvements and enhancements and service system improvements and enhancements in 2 week sprint cycles
Lead product owner sprint teams to effectively use agile, lean and other relevant work practices in order to improve frequency of releases that benefit the member and the business.
Lead design of analytics and measurement of end-to-end experience improvements at the interaction and channel level (mobile, web, IVR, etc.) to combine with member research efforts and/or create A/B test plans to optimize experience and business results.
Lead the implementation of agile/lean measurement across teams to measure capacity and velocity for planning, prioritization and delivery of improvements and enhancements
Directly manage 6 to 10 product owners who manage the deliverables of 25-50 zipcar and offshore engineers
5+ years in a product management or product development lead role
Experience and passion for building great teams and great services or products
Experience implementing and evolving agile/lean principles
Proven ability to prioritize and deliver customer benefits on a frequent cadence
Manages product owners and is a product owner of 1-2 teams
Finds simple and elegant solutions to support great experiences and business growth
Relationship builder who enjoys working with a variety of people and functions? engineering, analytics, member services, design, operations, executives and others.
Self-starter & prefers to take initiative
Comfortable tackling complex problems
Role model and passion for developing employees and career paths
Experience working in a consumer-facing technology company a plus
BS/BA computer sciences, design, human factors, business. MBA a plus.
