Overview:
The Director of Product Management is directly responsible to strategize, build and maintain the product viability at all stages of lifecycle in order to ensure the successful delivery of the product. Also responsible for managing overall P&L in category; driving category growth and developing strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Strategic direction, defining of goals and ongoing success of product through the entire lifecycle.
Manage distributor and third party provider relationships
Manage strategic direction and oversee all pricing, inventory and promotion of product categories.
Nurture and maintain new vendor relationship, act as primary point of contact for all high profile vendor relationships and handle all escalated concerns from clients regarding product support
Target select market segments and grow client relationships ensuring internal business needs are met
Direct product management initiatives ensuring requirements are gathered and product versions are implemented
Lead and participate in forecasting feasibility and profitability of product implementation
Provide leadership and direction on all assigned special projects, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
Continuously review the effectiveness of current procedures and strive to identify improvement to processes.
Development of industry standards that optimize and promote Newegg.com?s products, features and functionality.
Proactively lead and provide guidance for the activities of assigned product management staff, mentor and retain a high quality workforce
Directs employee management including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow and organizational planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.

Develop an effective plan for each category line to meet achieved budgeted goals in sales, margin, operating profit, customer acquisition, repurchase, retention and customer satisfaction
Overall P & L category management
Improve and monitor supply chain inefficiencies i.e. inventory turns, reduction in customer returns, overstock, out of stock, aging item, etc.
Negotiate with vendors to secure lowest total delivered cost, volume incentives, rebates, advertising and other applicable allowances.
Involved in business channel development (B2B channel, Canada, Private Label)
Proactively lead and provide guidance to staff; performance management; workflow; hiring; firing; and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in a Business or Computer related field. CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or MBA preferred
8 years computer or CE industry, purchasing or logistics industry experience.
Expert knowledge of vendor relationships, product fulfillment logistics, accounting and process flows.
Technical product knowledge, licensing, downloads, OEM, roadmaps and supplier insight
Must be able to write, read, analyze and interpret technical product and systems infrastructure materials and information
Minimum 5+ years procurement experience is required; online advertising industry experience and previous sales/business development experience are highly desired
Performance driven with strong ability of market/industry data analysis, capable to use date in decision making and prioritization. Forecasts and then measures outcome from the right metrics.
Manage the entire category line life cycle from strategic planning to execution management
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to think and plan clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem solving, scope technical requirements and prioritize
Sound business judgment, proven ability for effective leadership, strong analytical thinking skills and commitment for high standard and example setting

Establish high level vendor partnerships and negotiate optimized business terms and conditions
Conduct business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting
Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences
Work cross-functionally with other departments and business units, capable to lead staff
