Position Description:
The Director of Product Management provides product leadership across Industrial Defender's market-leading suite of security, compliance and operations management products and services, purpose built for Process Control Systems and related industrial automation environments. Primary customer applications include "Smart Grid" power transmission control systems, power generation, refineries, chemical plants and similar critical infrastructure control systems. The Director is the lead product strategist, participates in life-cycle product management, and provides leadership to product management and product marketing team activities.
The Product Management Director will direct Industrial Defender's products throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements from customer interaction, OEM partners, industry standards and competitive analysis, defining and articulating the product vision, working closely with engineering to deliver winning products, and working with Sales, Service and Marketing to effectively position and promote the product and assure that goals are met for revenue and customer satisfaction. Position is expected to direct a small team of Product Managers and reports to the Senior Vice President of Products and Technology.
Responsibilities:
Define and articulate product vision and strategy
Define and prioritize product and customer requirements and features, working directly with Engineering as Product Owner in an Agile Scrum environment
Be an effective corporate leader, interacting with the senior management team on strategic product planning, and being an internal and external strategy advocate
Be an expert with respect to competitive products and industry technology and standards trends
Enable direct and partner Sales teams to effectively sell the products, including training, collateral, tools, demos and other select customer engagements
Requirements:
5 years' experience in Product Management
8 years' experience in technology companies with exposure to security management technologies such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), configuration management (CMDB), and network management
Excellent analysis, communications, teamwork and cross-functional team leadership skills
Bachelor's degree (MBA desirable)
Desired: Exposure to industrial automation systems and related market segments
Desired: Ability to work hands-on with technology for feature analysis and product demonstration
