Director, Product Management LegalZoom
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED LegalZoom is seeking a highly motivated Director of Product Management to join our rapidly growing team and drive key initiatives that will expand our product portfolio to meet the needs of an ever-expanding group of customers. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and innovating existing products, creating visions and strategies for new product concepts, gathering product requirements, and working cross functionally to design, develop and launch your ideas.
Leadership is critical in this role so diplomacy, communication, good judgment and killer instincts are important success factors. The right candidate desires to exceed customer expectations, to challenge competition, and to deliver products that make a difference and grow the business.
This position will have responsibility for managing shared team resources, including copywriters and paralegals, in addition to coordinating department projects and other product managers to ensure deliverables are on schedule.
What you?ll do:
Become an expert on our customers and their needs, markets, competitors and trends, and use (or create) the right tools and methodologies to track these.
Bring strategic vision, but with no fear of digging into the details of how things work and visualizing how to make them better.
Develop product strategies and plans for product improvements and new product introductions.
Validate that the customer experience meets the customer and business requirements through research and interaction with customers.
Define product features and help develop and prioritize the product roadmap.
Wireframe and write requirements/specifications for all new product features and changes to existing features. Ensure completeness and consistency of all requirements.
Bring passion and focus to your role as evangelist and advocate.
Review end-to-end processes, from questionnaire to package delivery, looking for opportunities to re-engineer based on customer feedback and business requirements.
Review customer communications, including product fulfillment, Customer Care emails and do-it-yourself content to ensure they are up to date and are making a difference.
Use data/analytics along the product funnel, identifying gaps and opportunities to continuously improve the customer experience.
Coach teammates and share knowledge with other product managers.
7-10 years of product management experience, preferably in web-based products and services - including working with subscription models.
Successful track record of leading all phases of product management - from ideation through in-market support - including setting and meeting/exceeding unit sales/revenue targets.
Demonstrated success managing priorities, projects and personalities in cross-functional teams.
Passion for great product and project execution; extraordinary collaboration/coaching skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and tight timelines.
Ability to perform in a self-managed environment - must be a self-starter.
Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail balanced by ability to see the big picture.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with smart highly motivated colleagues.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
MBA a plus.
