Responsibilities:
Schoolnet is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Director, Product Manager to lead Schoolnets efforts in designing, developing and launching innovative educator development solutions for the K12 market. Districts and states across the country are aggressively implementing new processes to measure and improve teacher effectiveness to ultimately improve student achievement.
Candidates must be passionate about products and big-picture vision with the drive to make that vision a reality. You should enjoy spending time with customers and users to understand their needs and to validate concepts in order to bring the right products to market at the right time. Strong analytic and communication skills are a must with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, product features and benefits to customers, prospects and Schoolnet team members. This position will report to the Vice President, Product Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the identification, prioritization and development of new products and features in line with customer and market needs
Effectively lead requirements gathering sessions with customers capturing detailed information and needs
Effectively communicate business and functional requirements
Serve as product owner on Agile product design and development teams
Work closely with client services team to resolve issues and maximize user satisfaction
Provide support to the field sales team throughout the client acquisition lifecycle
Conduct customer and market research to inform product decisionsProvide support to the field sales team throughout the client acquisition lifecycle

Define product positioning and overall go-to-market plans
Qualifications:
7+ years applicable experience managing web-based enterprise software products and at least 3 years experience with human capital applications or K12 solutions
Strong grasp of Agile user-centric product design and development
Enthusiasm for talking with K-12 sector customers and studying markets
Great project management and organizational skills
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
Solid grounding in internet technology and the ability to work closely with development teams on product functionality
Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus
Experience working in the education field, including teaching, working with school districts or other education-related organizations preferred, but not required.
