Director, Product Management/Product Marketing
The global Director, Product Management/Product Marketing provides leadership to the overall product management/product marketing function to ensure the health of stratus product lines from a P&L perspective. Reporting to the CMO, the scope of responsibilities includes aligning strategic initiatives as well as identifying, assessing, prioritizing and resolving issues to ensure revenue growth. Utilizing broad business and management capabilities, the Director, Product Management/Product Marketing provides direction, vision and leadership in setting the company?s short and long-term product strategies.
Be responsible for creating profitable growth for all product lines at the P&L level.
Build data-based marketing and business plans for the ftServer, Software, Services and Productized Cloud businesses.
Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the CMO and Corporate Staff with the development of short term and long term business strategies.
Work with other team members to evaluate and report on progress of plans to make effective recommendations to ensure business results.
Create the appropriate Marketing Requirements Documents and Product Requirements Documents to support the long term growth of key product lines.
Establish key performance indicators for marketing programs to ensure successful execution of strategic and tactical business plans.
Deliver product marketing materials and deliverables in support of product plans.
Build and manage a results-driven, high-performing team of Product Marketeers and Product Managers.
Interface with Marketing and Corporate Communications teams to ensure appropriate promotional plans are built and executed.
Provide macro-economic statistics on key international markets to senior management (GDP information on key countries, currency fluctuations, etc.).
Interface with sales at a WW and Regional level to ensure understanding and participation in business plans and growth cases/objectives.
Coordinate competitive intelligence analyses with sales and marketing, for all products, and develop proof statements for the commercial team's use.
Effectively develop/manage budgets and resource requirements.
Key Qualifications & Capabilities:
IT industry expertise and experience in software and services.
BS degree and 10 years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight.
Management experience requiring demonstrated leadership skills necessary to drive a goal/results-focused culture.
Highly energetic with a strong desire and commitment to excel in a growing company where a ?hands-on? approach is essential.
Sound business judgment and the ability to evaluate alternatives, establish priorities and apply resources effectively.
Experience managing business through partners as well as direct end users.
Experience working with a board of directors and committees.
Time in a field role, preferably product sales, desired.
Proven skills in business and financial management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to reach conclusions from market trends and sales data.
Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Effective problem solving and mediation skills.
Demonstrated ability to share skills, knowledge and experience with others.
Superior presentation skills are essential.
