Summary:
The Data Encryption management PM will be responsible for Safenet?s unified management platform for the entire portfolio of data encryption solutions safenet offers, Including DBs, applications, storage, virtualization and cloud infrastructure encryption. Also responsible for the encryption as a service product product offering. This role includes the roadmap and strategy planning, work tightly with the related R&D teams as well as the business execution of the product.
On the product side, this position will be responsible for Safenet?s Crypto as a service management platform
- Designed to enable customers to provision crypto agents designed for a variety of purposes
- Role based management
- Workflow system to configure and manage related business processes
- Manage policies, keys, and device status
- Offer an integration platform for new crypto agents
- Audit and system log collection and analysis

Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor?s degree with emphasis in exact sciences, Communications, IT, or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
5 years + of relevant PM experience ? dealing with product design (architect-level), engineering, operation, product lifecycle management, proven experience in bringing a product to market and managing the business related to the product. Proven experience in the security and virtualization markets, preferred focus specifically on data encryption.
Skills:
Extensive experience with the information security market (data encryption specifically) ? profound familiarity with major players and products in the market
Extensive experience with the virtualization and cloud technologies (Vmware, XEN, Openstack) and market (AWS, VMware, Rackspace, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), profound familiarity with major players and products in the market.
Broad and recent experience with cryptography and key management is advantageous.
Comprehensive and profound background in low-level product design, that is profound understanding of SW design aspects and best practices, development environments; extensive experience with web development is a must.
Extensive experience in managing product lifecycles ? business and market needs analysis, product definition, development, release, maintenance, end-of-life, etc.
Has an eye for future technologies and trends in the market.
Experience in working with sales and marketing, including customer facing experience.
familiarity with the security and virtualization analysts consulting and integration firms, especially in the US market
Experience and background in business leadership handling, business analysis, revenue and budget planning.
The role includes both inbound and outbound related activities and processes:
Inbound
Define the relevant market (segments, size and maturity, competitive landscape, eco-system, etc) and the underlying business case
Explore and collect the needs for the product, as well as detailed product features.
Along the product implementation phase the DEC PM will work with the engineering team along the development process
Work with the program management group on managing the release process, and then with professional services, technical support teams when the product is released
Additionally, the DEC PM is expected to manage all the related product life-cycle processes such as on-going releases of the products, feature requests as well as bug prioritization, product documentation (working with the technical writers), migrations and upgrade processes, integration with 3rd party technologies and end-of-life processes.
Outbound
Communicating to sales, marketing, professional services and support the product vision, planning, release content
Technical knowledge transfer (working closely with the training team).
Work closely with product marketing and field marketing teams to plan the go-to-market strategy and initiatives.
Work closely with the sales managers and engineers as well as the solution strategy team to support sales processes as needed, in terms of providing technical knowledge as well as market insights
Engage with partners and customers as required to facilitate sales processes as well as shaping product planning accordingly
Define and work with the business development team to build the technological as well as business partners to promote the overall business for the product line
Explore, define and communicate the management product-line business model, licensing and pricing.
