Director, Product Management Notable Solutions
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED As the Director of Product Management, reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading a team of seasoned product managers with the definition and ownership of the Company?s strategic product roadmap. This high visibility role within the organization is tasked with not only extending the profitability of our existing products but driving new product concepts from ideation to general release. This leader must possess a strong background in matrix management and will interact daily with the Executive Management team as well as key managers and contributors alike to ensure our products meet the needs of our customers. Key to success for this position is a leader who can properly balance big picture vision, with both business and technical finesse.
NSi?s Director of Product Management is expected to be a thought leader in our industry with strong strategic experience coupled with demonstrable analytical rigor. The candidate will bring to NSi a strong history of product management leadership experience in enterprise B-to-B software development, specifically in the Business Process Automation, Enterprise Content Management, Document Capture, Enterprise Resource Planning or similar segments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product portfolio leadership: Drive the strategic vision and multi-generation product plan for the Company?s portfolio. Make certain our products meet or exceed the needs our customers while at the same time align to long-term growth objectives of the Company. Orchestrate the activities of the product management team to ensure the Company?s three primary offerings (Mobile, Capture and Output Management) not only complement one another, but deliver a force multiplier for the business.
Report product performance: Oversee the monitoring and active reporting of product line KPIs and represent these metrics to the Executive Management team. This financial analysis includes product line contribution margin analysis by market, industry, etc.
Commercial readiness and success: Oversee and lead all internal readiness efforts for product introduction. Drive the Company?s New Product Introduction (NPI) process ensuring that critical to quality goals are met. Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure a cohesive external launch readiness program is also accomplished.
Represent the Company at industry and customer speaking engagements.
Contribute or lead press and analyst briefings.
Manage relationships with key technology suppliers and OEMs.
Support field operations and product marketing through joint sales calls to key accounts, proposal/bid and development assistance.
University degree (MBA preferred) with studies in Business, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
At least 5-8 years of previous product management experience in commercial B-to-B software including at least two years leading a product management team
Strong finance skills ? demonstrated portfolio management experience ? establishing product price, ASP analysis, Cost of Sales (royalty management), and more
Demonstrated ability to take internal and external product requirements/requests and management their priority against both the priorities of the product and the company
Superb leadership and experience conducting market analysis and business case justification
Has managed at least six product releases through the complete product lifecycle from PRD definition and backlog management to commercial availability
Solid communication skills ? both written and verbal
Strong knowledge of contemporary technologies
Strong knowledge of contemporary development methodologies
Knowledge of both hardware and software product development and commercialization techniques
Experience managing products sold internationally
Demonstrated experience working with 3rd party vendors, partners to align disparate product roadmaps
Experience with offshore development teams
Fluent in English
Previous product management experience with SaaS delivered solutions and/or ?middleware? solutions Experience managing a product SDK/APIs with community derived solutions integrating back into core platform
Enterprise mobile application experience ? either as a product manager or leading a product management team
Previous experience working within ? and with ? large, multi-national companies ? both as partners, customers
Thorough knowledge of contracting and licensing process. Ability to effectively negotiate terms and conditions for licenses and contracts with outside parties.
Competitive analysis experience
Previous product management for an enterprise class product in any of the following markets: Content Management, Document Capture, Business Process Automation, Enterprise Resource Planning, Output Management or Enterprise Mobile applications
Solid software product management experience: At least 5-8 years of software product management experience with at least three of those years as a director. Candidates with demonstrated business process automation or document capture experience greatly preferred. SaaS experience is highly desirable.
Effective communicator, positive attitude, possesses the desire to help people learn.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:
Previously performed the function of a product manager or project manager in a software publisher.
