Director Product Management - Suite Analytics Rivermine Software
Description
The role has overall responsibility for championing the Emptoris Analytics solution for the Emptoris Suite. This person will need to be an analytics product expert, delivering this expertise to the sales force, key industry influencers and the target market. This person must also interact with and provide market and competitive feedback back to other product management team members responsible for individual product lines within the Emptoris Suite. The Director of Product Management will also be responsible for:
Creating and delivering content as well as communicating and supporting the sales process for Emptoris Suite solution
Providing feedback to the sales, marketing, operations and product management teams regarding market, competitor and product/service requirements.
Drive product requirements with key product stakeholders
Creating and driving to completion go to market program plans
Working with a global sales team, typically comprising of Account Executives and Sales Engineers based at various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive Product Management plans that address the needs of the sales force and support corporate marketing goals
Lead the Emptoris Suite Analytics product and execute go to market product marketing plans
Create sales tools (e.g., sales presentations, collateral, white papers, product demo scripts ) for the sales force to use in specific opportunities
Create pricing models to meet market and sales needs
Perform data modeling to predict market trends
Deliver in-depth training to the sales force and channel partners on the messaging, positioning, and value of Emptoris offerings
Develop an in-depth understanding of the customers' business problems, practices, challenges and requirements within the context of Emptoris offerings
Develop an in-depth understanding of how Emptoris Suite solves critical problems within our customers and how Emptoris differentiates itself in the market
Deliver in-depth support to the sales force by actively participating as a subject matter expert in presentations to prospects and customers and providing introductory, high level software product demonstrations
Support media and industry analyst activities by actively participating as a subject matter expert on the use of Emptoris solutions and benefits achieved by customers
Liaise with other departments (e.g. Professional Services, Sales, Marketing) and third party partners (e.g. Accenture, IBM and others)
Required work experience/skills:
10+ years demonstrated experience in best practice product management methodologies
Demonstration of a clear understanding of Enterprise level analytics products (Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, others)
Demonstration of a clear understanding of Enterprise level analytics products (Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, others) as applied to supply chain, enterprise contracts, enterprise sourcing, and enterprise spend analysis solutions
Proven experience creating sales enablement tools including software product demonstrations, ROI models, sales tools, and content for product launches
Proven experience creating PowerPoint Presentations with clear, concise, compelling value and differentiation messaging
Excellent writing ability for creation of product content (e.g. case studies, white papers, collateral, website, etc.)
Excellent planning, time management, organizational and written skills
Preferred work experience/skills:
10+ years-successful experience of product management with a leading entrepreneurial software organization marketing high value software solutions to Global 1000 companies
Demonstrated ability to function effectively within an international corporate customer environment
Demonstrated ability to think and work both on a strategic and tactical level
Excellent inter-personal and influencing skills, with the ability to build and leverage relationships at all levels across the company
Excellent and dynamic high-level presentation skills with the ability to address and impress senior executive audiences
An understanding of business case methodologies
Comfortable with the preparation of technical strategies
Highly analytical
Demonstrable motivation skills
Educated to graduate level (MBA or equivalent) a plus
