We are expanding our product marketing team and seeking a results-oriented senior product marketing director to work in our office in San Francisco, California. In this position you will be responsible for product positioning, as well as go-to-market planning and execution. You will report directly to the VP Product and Content Marketing.
The Director of Product Marketing will own the go-to-market success of the Get Satisfaction with a focus on revenue growth and market leadership. It will be vital that this individual be knowledgeable and stay abreast of the market dynamics in our rapidly changing environment and quickly translate market movements into actionable insight for our product, sales, and marketing teams. To that end, the Director of Product Marketing will also create and own all sales enablement tools, positioning documentation, marketing messaging, and thought leadership assets for our products, as well as collaborating on market requirements documentation for product development.
Be our primary product evangelist:
Define and refine buyer personae and value propositions across segments
Create crisp and differentiated positioning and messaging for Get Satisfaction?s products and use cases
Maintain a catalog of our most successful and innovative customer success stories
Conduct and document ongoing competitive analysis
Own externally facing product positioning strategy and assets:
Lead Get Satisfaction solution packaging and work with sales and marketing stakeholders to iterate on these over time
Work with sales teams to constantly refine the pitch and demo ?story?
Own externally facing content that aids in the sales process, such as pitch decks, datasheets, and proposal templates
Lead content strategy for our marketing website and collaborate on the creation of marketing content for campaigns and demand generation
Lead the product launch process for major releases:
Work with product team to understand release schedule and identify major release milestones
Define marketing strategy and create internal plan for major releases
Lead cross-functional teams on execution of launch plans
Own the creation of campaign assets that support product launches: videos, case studies, website content, webinars, etc.
Bachelor?s Degree required, MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years? experience in product marketing ? strong preference given to specific domain expertise in CRM, social/collaboration technologies, or customer service software
Experience leading and executing go-to-market strategy
Experience in B2B and/or B2C environments with an established track record of bringing online products to market
Established track record of marketing, managing, and delivering high impact results around online products
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including development and delivery of training and/or persuasive presentations
Exceptional people skills with a proven track record of success interacting with colleagues in cross-functional teams
We?re Looking for Social Business Converts ? Please have:
Hands-on personal and professional experience in using social technologies for marketing and collaboration
Passion for web-based SaaS products and business models
An entrepreneurial background or experience in a start-up environment
Good presentation skills, credibility with sales teams, customers, analysts and the media
Ability to articulate business value proposition of technology, best practices and lessons learned from customers during previous experience
Proven track record in working with customers and leveraging customers for reference-based marketing
