Director, Product Marketing Terracotta
This position is responsible for setting, creating and driving new product offerings in the Big Data analytics arena. This position will appeal to seasoned product marketing experienced individuals with strong technical depth and breadth.
The Director, Product Marketing will create product strategy, pricing, user community initiatives, product launches, and product marketing plans to successfully drive adoption of data management products and solutions. Also, responsible for the following:
Acquire deep user/customer knowledge through market research, segmentation analysis & customer interviews
Track competitive activities and market developments and conduct competitive analyses
Evangelize company and product strengths with press, industry analysts, 3rd party partners, prospects and customers
Develop marketing assets for the product
Deliver sales training and product presentations
Requirements
BA/BS degree with a strong academic record (MBA is a plus)
10+ years in software development market and application platform software, Product Marketing and/or technical marketing across Java technologies
Experience marketing database and data management technologies to developers and other audiences
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and effective project management: Excellent written and oral communication skills with peers, management and cross-functional teams
Experience in delivering training and instruction
Strong technical skills; Knowledge of the Java market (ideally the Big Data market)
Experience driving product marketing for major product lines at both strategic and tactical levels
Track record of outstanding product positioning, innovative campaigns, delivering significant new customer acquisition and adoption
