The Director of Product Marketing at Satmetrix is responsible for supporting our solutions across online, direct and indirect sales channels. Products include our industry leading customer experience platform: Satmetrix Pro, as well as several new products in the area of business analytics and social media intelligence that we are preparing for launch. This role will work closely with leaders of our Product Management, Demand Generation and Sales organizations to design new strategies to win in this dynamic new marketplace.
We are looking for someone to help us tell an exciting new story as we extend Satmetrix technologies in new directions. Our products live at the intersection where B2B and consumer-style applications are converging into interesting new models for building and marketing software. Experience in both arenas is a plus. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, who thinks outside the box and is great at advocating for their ideas. Positioning, packaging and pricing are central to the role. As are a keen eye for competitive analysis and the ability to interface with the analyst community that covers our market. No one person is great at it all, we?re looking for a solid generalist that excels at evangelizing disruptive products. Develop go to market plans and strategies for disruptive cloud-based solutions
Work with Marketing Communications on messaging and positioning
Work with Product Management on packaging and product requirements
Work with Finance and Sales Operations on Pricing and implementation requirements
Plan and lead successful product launches
Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams (including public relations, design, product, and engineering stakeholders) to deliver world-class product marketing materials and programs
Develop strategic positioning for key products based on market assessment, quantitative analysis and understanding of the broader social media and analytics ecosystem
Drive product adoption and usage rates through scalable marketing programs and launch support
Author end-user facing communication, such as blog posts, collateral and web content, driven by best practices
Develop and drive programs to frame and track competitive landscape, understand target markets and identify market insights to inform product strategies and go-to-market activities
Support the Field and Corporate marketing teams in the development of tools and resources for current and prospective partners, developers, press, spokespeople and sales teams
BA/BS degree or equivalent. Masters degree is a plus
Familiarity with Net Promoter methodology a plus
4+ years professional experience in Product Marketing
Experienced at working with Product Management and Sales organizations
Strong communicator with analytical ability
Sharp eye for detail and proven project management skills
Keen ability to translate complexity into simple and intuitive communications
Comfort with a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience with cloud-based systems
Fluent with social media
Proven track record of successfully deploying cloud-based products as well as experience with ongoing marketing program management
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to manage conflicting requirements tempered with the willingness to escalate to management for visibility and/or guidance
Ability to manage and adapt to change in a fast-moving environment
