Director, Professional Development Operations Carnegie Learning
With the Director, Professional Learning Design & Implementation, to generate the strategic direction for the Professional Development department.
Develop processes and procedures that support department initiatives and drive efficiency.
Ensure the team works collaboratively to meet quarterly and annual plan objectives.
Accountable for creating and executing on the overall department budget.
Regularly review the allocation of resources (both internal and consultant) to ensure delivery of services is on time and within budget.
Maintain knowledge of client needs, help to identify additional services or product opportunities to expand Carnegie Learning offerings.
Participate in contract discussions and negotiate the Professional Development piece of the deal.
Keep informed of industry trends and be able to relate these trends to the departments strategic vision.
Coordinate activities related to the planning and execution of Online Professional Development as well as Carnegie Learning sponsored customer events.
Review annual variable compensation plans to ensure they align with the corporate and department goals. Make recommendations for change when appropriate.
Develop and execute on staffing strategies, establishes and reviews individual performance goals and priorities and ongoing staff development.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree, Master?s Degree preferred
3-5 years experience in a management role, experience in the education industry is a plus
Ability to work effectively with executives both internal and at customer sites (Superintendents, Principals, etc..)
Proven ability to create and successfully manage budgets
Highly organized, detail oriented and responsive.
Strong communication skills both oral and written.
Strong technology aptitude
