Who We Want:
We are looking for an experienced Programmatic Sales Director to lead our programmatic sales efforts and evangelize our private marketplace. This is a fast-paced and data-intensive position which involves real-time reporting and optimization techniques that leverage multiple data points across many platforms. The successful candidate will have passion for ownership and finesse execution by utilizing their technical and optimization skills. This position reports to the VP Programmatic Sales.

To help take us to the next level of exponential growth, Bazaarvoice Media is seeking candidates with the following attributes specifically within the programmatic space:
Develop and maintain primary trading desk relationships ranging from high-level points of contacts to media buyers and planner
Educate media buyers and planners on Bazaarvoice Media inventory, enabling them to execute their campaigns effectively and successfully
Lead Lunch & Learns and other informational sessions
Develop product recommendations and work with product team to get needs prioritized, implemented and executed
Work with Sales, Web Data and Ad Operations teams and layer Bazaarvoice Media audience and sell the inventory segments with the best optimized value.
Extensive analysis, testing and modeling, as well as continuously monitor exchange and work with Programmatic Sales Analyst in analyzing direct sales pricing to maximize revenue
Forecast available inventory, monitoring partner performance, and proactively optimizing available ad opportunities.
Minimum 4+ years experience in online advertising and 2+ years working with programmatic buying
Understand current yield optimization, ad operations, predictive modeling and be up-to-date on emerging technology and models.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, polished
Have a complete understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and be able to field questions from experts as well as novices
Collaborative personality and ability to maintain productive and growing relationships with clients
Educate individuals both internally and externally about RTB
Relationships with individuals, including media buyer and planners in the programmatic space
Experience with programmatic buying and selling
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial personality
We are currently seeking an individual who enjoys working with a fast-paced team, is excited by the challenges of this role, and wants to make his/her mark in a dynamic team and company.
Extremely analytical with strong math skills and attention to detail.
Experience with ad trafficking (display, video), de-bugging, data collection, ad optimizations.
Expertise in Excel.
Familiarity with web analytics and research methods. Ability to translate quantitative numbers into recommended actions. Knowledge of Comscore, GA, Quantcast
Ad exchange or Demand Side Platform media buying a big plus.
Background in web technologies, with experience in digital ad serving including DoubleClick DFP/DSM, AdEx, Pubmatic, Liverail , and OpenX a plus. Familiarity with mobile ad serving a huge plus.
Ability to analyze, modify and troubleshoot all ad types.
Experience working with both sales professionals and technical producers.
Organized and able to proactively communicate information at the appropriate level to management.
Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills.
Aggressive in achieving goals.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
