Arise is searching for a Director, Project Management Office.
Responsibilities:
The Project Director shall collaborate with the Client?s Project Management Office Team to provide status, propose project management related initiatives and facilitate/implement the strategy outlined by the Client?s Leadership Team which may include, but is not limited to:
? Define best practices and implementing core IT project processes using criteria such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
? Define best practices and implementing software development methodologies for rapid development such as Agile, and SCRUM.
? Develop processes and templates to support the proposed methodologies that would take into account and complement the overall established IT Project Management Methodology.
? Establishment of quality management procedures (quality assurance, quality control, and customer satisfaction, etc.).
? Continuation of Client?s current efforts to define and standardize project and portfolio performance metrics.
? Establishment of project success measures such as return on investment (ROI) and business result metrics
? Provide on-site, full-time management of the resources assigned to this project to include:
o Scheduling;
o Performance reviews ( when applicable)
o Ensuring personnel resources are available for critical and time sensitive support activities; and,
o Ensuring work assignments are performed properly.
? Develops/Communicates project management standards and best practices
? Identifies, secures, and coordinates implementation of internal and external Client resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve project objectives
? Collaborates with functional areas in the supervision of project personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions
? Ensures that all Customer projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines
? Assign projects to Project Management Office staff and monitor progress
? Advises leadership and/or business executives at the highest levels about the project portfolio, status and resource planning
? Initiates and implements new methodologies, process and procedures that will support the Client?s long and short term goals
? In addition to project and new functionality deployment, responsibilities include career development, performance management and pay determination and communication
Qualifications:
? 5+ Years Project Management Experience, must be experience with developing or enhancing systems
? Proven and demonstratable experience managing projects of all sizes through all phases, from initiation to post-deployment
? Budget Management experience
? Vendor Management experience
? High level understanding of data and voice deployments and software implementations
? Experience with MS Office, MS Project, Daptiv and/or another portfolio / project management tool
? PMP certification
