Director of Quality Assurance will be working in an agile (scrum teams) software development environment, reporting to the VP of Software Engineering, and will be responsible for providing operational and technical leadership to multiple QA teams, both in the US and abroad.
This is a critical role for the organization requiring strong technical, leadership, and communication skills. The Director of QA will also be expected to provide direction, mentorship, and motivation to QA management and individual contributors. This individual must have a proven track record of successfully leading a technical QA team, with a strong sense of quality ownership and focus on customer satisfaction.
Operationally manage several existing QA teams ? this includes employee retention, performance management, evaluating scrum team involvement, release scheduling, load-balancing, and budgeting.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop the careers of the QA staff.
Collaborate with Software and Device Engineering, Product Management, Infrastructure and DevOps and Customer Support, to improve overall product quality, emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development and maintenance lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with all of Lytx Security and Software Development Life Cycle policies and procedures.
Design, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test methodologies, and automated test cases, to ensure thorough testing of all assigned functionality.
Analyze customer-reported defects, identify how these defects were missed in the QA process, and use that information to improve future testing.
Identify products areas and internal processes requiring quality improvements through the analysis of incoming defects, customer feedback, and other operational metrics and inefficiencies.
Educate team about Lytx SDLC and QA processes, providing guidance when necessary, and making sure that process documentation is both readily available and accurate.
Evangelize ?best practices? for designing, building, and supporting Lytx SAAS platform, empowering all team members to feel both authorized and responsible for continuously improving our software development, QA, and release procedures.

Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor?s degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
Minimum of eight years of Software QA experience, with at least 3 years in a QA management role.
Must have proven experience releasing successful products, using state-of-the-art QA tools, methodologies, and automated testing.
Must have several years of experience working in a .NET and SQL development environment.
Must have experience working in an Agile software development environment (scrum teams).
Strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members, or across functional teams.
Excellent written, verbal, and communications skills to interact with staff and customers.
Experience with enterprise applications, usability, application performance, or security, is a plus.
