Overview:
As the Director you will be tasked with developing strategy that optimize profit, drive sales, and increase market share. You will play a key role in the day-to-day proactive and in depth analysis of the impact of pricing, changes of pricing and price sensitivity on the consumer.
Responsibilities:
The Director will manage all startegy including Volume Forecasting, Copy testing, social media tracking and other title, category and marketplace research as needed.
Responsible for managing vendor agencies, accessing relevant reports and summarizing details and how it applies to each internal business unit.
Collaborates with internal business owners on research projects relevant to their channels of business.
Works closely with business owners of specific retail channels to develop, implement and analyze research specifically around consumer behavior for both retail and online
Develop and execute strategy for tradiitonal and non traditional customer insights and preferences.
Conduct competitive market intelligence on products, market trends and strategies.
Draft summaries and develop presentations of key findings for industry events, on-one session and for sales teams.
Demonstrated ability to formulate and deliver key insights that can impact business strategy and results.
Qualifications:
Ability to quickly understand and use a variety of data to create a cohesive ?story? that will help decision-makers take action.
Detail orientated and experienced using a variety of analytical techniques: interest and experience in quantititative and qualitative analysis
Demonstrated project management experience and able to prioritize and complete multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity
BS/BA in related field or equivalent work experience required.
5 years of progressive Market Research experience required.
Experience managing diverse personalities in a fast-paced creative environment.
Have demonstrable problem solving and independent decision making skills.
Ability to meet specific deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities.
Strong organizational and excellent project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
