JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing operational processes relating billing and collections within a progressive, growing national provider of outpatient radiology services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct certain business office functions to maintain an efficient and effective process to create, submit, record, analyze, and collect reimbursements for services provided on a timely basis.
Where partners perform billing services, coordinate with partners to ensure controls are in place and activity is monitored such that revenue is properly collected, reported and remitted to the company on a timely and compliant basis.
Be current and knowledgeable of rules and requirements related to billing, coding and other aspects of healthcare revenue cycle management. Be a resource and work with Compliance Team and Compliance Officer to help define, communicate and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and contractual guidelines
Provide leadership and direction on all aspects of accounts receivable management
Develop and distribute monthly accounts receivable metrics , providing direction to team on trends and billing process workflow
Coordinate with individuals responsible for licensing and credentialing processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements necessary to properly bill and collect for services provided.
Collaborate with IT and user groups to ensure billing / reimbursement information systems are properly maintained, capable and appropriately configured to meet all requirements related to compilation, storage, transmission and accessibility for stakeholders including employees, patients, referring offices, payers and regulatory entities.
Coordinate with market executives the development of effective and appropriate collection and payment policies for each market that maximize collections while maintaining superior customer service and referring office relationships.
Perform analyses and provide market executives with meaningful information and transparency on all aspects of the revenue cycle process to enable them to maximize revenue and maintain superior levels of customer service
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:
Significant management experience with a progressive, provider-based healthcare system with ?hands-on? familiarity of running the departmental operations
Proven experience leading a team to accomplish billing and collections goals while maintaining appropriate cost efficiency
Adept at developing analyses and benchmarking standards necessary to guide departmental operations and to provide relevant, actionable information to corporate and field associates
Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to healthcare coding, billing, collections services
Strong analytical and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
Competency with spreadsheets and database analytical tools.
Ability to communicate with a collaborative approach to relationships
Ability to identify potential areas for improvement in existing processes
Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple simultaneous assignments from various Markets, leadership, and departments

Bachelor?s degree required
Minimum of six years supervisory experience in revenue cycle management; significant knowledge of billing and collections practices and system
Requires travel to Business Office operations and market locations
