The Director, Sales ? East Region is managing a team of 6-8 Sales Representatives who cover the eastern half of the United States and Canada. The position reports to the SVP of Sales and Services and is responsible for driving efforts to expand and grow MarkMonitor?s presence in their chosen markets. The team must accomplish this goal through the establishment and cultivation of ongoing relationships at the appropriate levels that will lead to a qualified pipeline of prospective new clients. In this role, Director, Sales ? East Region educates new clients and leverages industry knowledge to create demand and persuade through the creation of compelling presentations. This position will be responsible for all aspects of hiring, training, and managing their own team, with a focus on recruitment, development, productivity and performance.
This position requires a high level of activity and use of a CRM (Salesforce) to manage your territory. The Director, Sales ? East Region will have an understanding of the ?rhythm? of selling to achieve both quarterly and annual objectives. A documented track record of success is a must.
Develop strategic plan to achieve revenue goals, maximize sales and enhance profitability within assigned territory;
Develop and maintain strong active relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels;
Manages a team of sales professionals and provides direction towards collaborative sales efforts. Recruits, manages and develops top talent;
Understand and effectively communicate MarkMonitor?s value proposition, technology, processes, partnerships as they relate to growth of current and prospective client accounts;
Regularly involved in all phases of the sales lifecycle including: identifying and developing leads; meeting with clients; developing value propositions; financial deal structuring to contract negotiation and closing;
Establishes an executable strategy for specific pipeline development that supports the sales objectives.
A BA in relevant course work AND 5+ years proven sales/management experience working for a SaaS or software technology company, with a strong aptitude for technology;
Prior Management experience with excellent demonstration of leadership skills;
Experience selling Business Intelligence ( BI ) or an ROI based solution is preferred;
Previous consultative/solution selling experience;
Experience conducting software product demonstrations & sales presentations;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and online meeting software;
Excellent sales skills including the ability to create and build relationships. Demonstrated track record of success and established relationships;
Experience working in a team sales environment;
Knowledge of Salesforce preferred;
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate easily & interpersonally with Senior Executives and decision makers;
Capable of thinking creatively and making independent decisions;
Effective presentation skills;
