Who We Want:
The Director of Sales Enablement plays a critical leadership role at Bazaarvoice, responsible for the development, delivery, management and continuous improvement of global sales methodologies, enablement and training programs, either directly or through outsourced partners. This role partners across sales operations, sales leadership, marketing, and other teams to create and effectively execute programs to increase levels of sales capacity, productivity and performance for our global enterprise and commercial sales organizations. It reports into the Center of Excellence, a shared service organization supporting our global business units.
The Director of Sales Enablement is a proven sales leader, responsible for vision, strategy & execution in the following areas:
Hiring profiles & process: In partnership with the BU's, this role is responsible for developing the hiring and success profiles for our Sales Directors, developing & maintaining our predictive assessments strategy, and structuring the interview process and hiring decision criteria.
Onboarding & continued learning: Developing and managing the Sales Director on-boarding & training programs to accelerate the time to first sale. Included in this responsibility is the development & continuous improvement of training competency & certification programs.
Sales methodologies & process: Owning the solution selling methodologies & processes that our global sales organization use to close value-based deals with executive engagement.
Management & leadership development: Ensuring our sales managers have the coaching and development skills to optimize their territories and lead highly productive teams.
Additional responsibilities include:
Continuous consultation with sales leadership to identify opportunities, and development of course content and selling tools to fill those needs
Source & evaluate third party suppliers of sales skills training content
Delivery of live & virtual sales skills training (e.g. Solution Selling, Whiteboard Selling, Negotiations, Objections Handling, etc.)
Measurement of training effectiveness and business impact reporting
Management of a training facilitator team in the US & London
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
5+ years of demonstrated, direct sales experience in Enterprise Software/SaaS or other high technology industry, and 3+ years of sales enablement training experience
Strong interpersonal skills ? ability to collaborate across functions, levels and geographies to build and deliver sales enablement programs
Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills are required; must have engaging delivery and exhibit enthusiasm and passion for winning
Ideal candidate will have prior trainer certification for Solution Selling or similar sales methodologies
Successful candidates will possess impeccable integrity, be self-motivated and require little guidance. Strong process, project management and organizational skills are required.
Must have the ability to thrive in a very fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
Must have expert level skills in the MS Office suite; Salesforce CRM experience a plus
Experience rolling out competency and certification programs; experience in LMS system administration a plus
Must be willing to travel approximately 15-25% of time
MS/BS required, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
