Director, Sales BondDesk
The Opportunity
Founded in 1999, BondDesk is the largest retail fixed income trading platform with over 200 active Broker-Dealers, over 100,000 Financial Advisors, and the highest trade volumes of any odd-lot ATS. BondDesk has over 120 employees in offices in Carlsbad CA, Mill Valley CA, Rochester MI, Summit NJ and New York City.
BondDesk helps advisors gather assets and trade bonds more successfully. Our tools enable advisors to:
? monitor portfolios for trade suggestions that can be easily communicated to the client;
? identify suitable bonds through simple yet sophisticated screening across the largest single source of bonds;
? have confidence in pricing with price transparency checks; and
? achieve near certainty of execution with an over 95% fill rate.
We have created a brand new Director of Sales position to meet our growth objectives. This position will report to, and work closely with, the Managing Director of Sales and Account Management to close new business across the United States. Additionally, the Director, Sales role will work with the Private Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Compliance, and Technology divisions at prospects to provide solutions for the trading and advisor networks using our enterprise-wide portfolio, compliance, and trading tools.
The key responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
? Revenue Generation: develop new client relationships by creating opportunities through a proactive sales effort via the phone, email and in-person meetings.
? Sales Skills: manage the entire end-to-end sales process including tracking and reporting against target sales goals, identifying prospects, outbound prospecting via cold calls and proactive emails, scheduling meetings, conducting presentations, and manage the overall prospect relationship
? Client Service: be a champion of client service by identifying, designing and executing creative strategies to meet and exceed prospect expectations and work with product and technology teams to translate prospect feedback into tangible sales results.
? Pipeline Management: continuously manage a pipeline of prospects and be able to estimate the forecasted closure rate.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience including the following:
? Sales Skills: minimum of 3 years successful experience in a commission-based enterprise sales role:
o Identifying and developing new prospects and sales pipeline
o Delivering excellent client service with ability to anticipate and resolve problems
o Consultative selling style with superior communication and active listening skills
o Account planning, project management and time management skills.
o Ability to negotiate structured contracts that balance client and company needs
? Industry Knowledge: Relationships with and an in-depth understanding of the needs and workflows of capital markets and private wealth management groups as well as extensive knowledge of the financial markets
? Proven ability to operate on both strategic and tactical levels; able to cultivate new relationships at multiple levels including C-level.
? Self-starter, possessing the ability to work independently, detail oriented, strong business writing, verbal and presentation skills.
? Sound decision making; complex problem solver.
? Ability and willingness to travel
