Reporting to the Senior Director of Commercial Operations, the Director of Sales Operations will be a key member of the commercial team, with a primary focus of overseeing the sales operation functions across the US and International Business Units. In this position, the incumbent will support the sales strategy by providing actionable data analysis and reporting, as well as management the CRM, incentive plans, and other processes such as master data management, targeting, territory alignments, etc?
The position is located in our Cambridge-based home office, with some limited travel to support business needs.
Work with US and International commercial leadership to develop key performance indicators and establish reporting processes.
Take a leadership role in the development of standard reports and dashboards for the commercial team
Recommend market data purchases and required market research to refine customer segmentation for effective and efficient targeting by Sales and Marketing
Direct analysis and provide insights to uncover opportunities and provide insights concerning KPI?s
Evaluate ROI for strategic commercial initiatives
Executes ad hoc analysis and reporting
Key player in the overall strategy of the CRM design and ongoing maintenance
Provide sales data/reporting, and CRM training support for the customer facing roles
Key participant in the design and implementation of a data-marting capability
Lead the development of incentive plans and contests
Oversee the administration of the IC payment process for the US and International sales teams
Lead the sales planning and strategy initiatives, and oversee the territory alignment maintenance.
Manage the MDM process to ensure reporting consistency and data accuracy.
Continuously investigates for new methods and techniques to leverage data optimize the execution of customer facing initiatives
Partner within the commercial team as well as other areas of the organization, especially IT, to ensure availability of quality data to support analyses.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field, MBA preferred
At least 8-12 years? experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industries, experience in an orphan drug or specialty care a plus
Experience working with US and International based teams
Experience working with data suppliers and associated physician and patient privacy regulations
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Advance computer skills ? Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical data and data process flows
Proven experience with CRM technologies, such as SalesForce.com
Sales incentive planning & administrative expertise
Strong interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills required
Fluency in multiple languages a plus
