The Director of Sales Operations will own all aspects of business operations for the Sales team. The position will design and execute programs to train, motivate, integrate and improve the operational efficiency of the Sales force. This individual will be a key member of the Worldwide Sales Operations team and will work closely with Sales Management, Finance, Marketing and IT to raise the bar of operational excellence.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Analysis of Sales model & Compensation model with respect to effectiveness and cost
Assists in the development and recommendation of Sales compensation plans and sales programs. Sets short and long-term sales strategies of national, regional and individual sales plans.
Training and support to Sales
Sales Enablement - Create, maintain and deliver sales training programs across a variety of medium
Sales Intranet - Content creation and management
Deal Desk - Create and manage a "deal desk" to ensure a seamless contracting process
Efficiency/Automation - Work in concert with the Director of Sales Reporting and Automation on a variety of the topics above to ensure we are approaching our business solutions in the most efficient manor, both technically and strategically.
Sales Events - Own Sales Kickoff Agenda. Work with Event planning to facilitate planning and execution
Mergers & Acquisitions - Represent Sales in post acquisition integration
Work with various functional teams (FP&A, Legal, HR, Product Mgt, etc) to ensure handoffs with respect to all tasks listed above are seamless and projects remain on track
Required Experience and Education
This individual must be hands-on and ready to roll up their sleeves to deliver immediate results
Ability to lead complex projects involving cross-functional departments
Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions and execute on those solutions
Bachelor?s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or Sales concentration preferred or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 8 years sales experience
Previous Sales Operations experience in a software company is a plus
Vision and strategic skills to design and drive both short and long-term strategy for growth
Effective leadership ability
Excellent presentation and communication skills
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Location: California or New York
