The Director, Solution Architecture will report directly to the VP Solutions Engineering. He/She will be expected to manage and oversee the WW Solution Architect organization; set clear objectives for its personnel; develop and deploy sound internal product rollout strategies and programs which will ultimately drive thorough assimilation existing and future Good products and solutions. This leader will be responsible for defining the role of the SA team; establishing the best practices for engagement models; establish metrics and a method for measuring success of the SA team; and ensure alignment to the overall Solution Architecture program goals and objectives.
Director, Solution Architecture SA will carry out the charter of the field Solution Architects, which is to work directly with the Sales Executives, Solution Architects and Regional Sales teams to drive interest and demand for specific products and solutions across the Good product line. Individuals within the Solution Architecture (SA) are regarded as technical experts and provide deep understanding of products and solutions across Good?s products.
1)Representation of the technical field (Solution Engineering) teams to represent the customer perspective cross functionally back into Product Engineering, Product Management and Product Marketing.
2)Support sales needs by providing clients with the data and information necessary to drive the successful communication deep technical aspects of the Good products and services.
3)Support product vertical specific solutions.
4)Advanced product and solution interest and knowledge to Sales and Professional Services by effectively presenting, architecting, demonstrating, and conducting training/workshops of Good products and solutions
-Experience developing frameworks for a technical or sales organization including development of, operational processes, compensation plans, pragmatic and territory management strategies
-Previous experience in leading a charter of teams or groups, including redefining organization and charter needs based on the changing needs of the business and/or customer
-Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of regional field SA employees
-Work closely with and influence peers in a matrix management structure to implement consistency and standards across regional sales areas
-Establish measurement metrics to track change and success.
-Work closely with product management, product marketing, engineering, channel and field sales organizations to develop highly skilled workforce, collaborate on strategy, GTM, solutions and opportunity pursuits
-Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of Good product lines and solutions as well as deliver Good vision and company direction.
-Active member of senior pre-sales leadership team focused on setting and driving organizational direction and priorities.
-The role, responsibilities and geographical focus will change and develop over time along with the company?s rapid growth
-Continuously developing reusable solutions to assure the field can leverage standard libraries for 80% of sales requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
-Minimum of 10 years in technical sales or relevant customer-facing experience in the Mobile Messaging domain.
-BA/BS or equivalent experience required
-Strong customer-facing and relationship building skills
-Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting
-Ideal candidate will have a successful track record managing a high-performance team of architects
-Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and writing skills as well as the ability to present Good?s Vision and Value to executive audiences
-Experience with a broad set of industry technologies and services such as enterprise applications, operating systems, storage, security, enterprise systems management, networking and business continuity
-Experience working in a hyper-growth environment and an appreciation of how the dynamics of growth affect corporate culture and in-place processes and systems. This includes an understanding that resources typically trail the business in high-growth environments and require strategies and programs that are flexible, dynamic and agile
-Demonstrated ability to build, lead and motivate a team of highly-experienced technical product specialists
-Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time, including international if necessary
