Our expertise in systems biology at the single cell level enables us to advance multiple aspects of drug development including discovery research, biomarker development, clinical trial improvements, and commercial positioning.We seek a business professional with a demonstrable track record of delivering excellent operational performance in the areas of business development, finance and accounting. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and will be able to collaborate with various functional groups to inform and support critical business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Business Development responsibilities including:
Financial modeling and valuation analysis of development projects, IP licensing, collaboration financials, and other licensing deals.
Scenario planning for optimal deal valuation.
Comps analyses for multiple deal types.
Market analysis for compounds and therapeutic areas.
Participation in finance-related negotiations.
FP&A responsibilities including:
Budgeting and forecasting management including oversight of annual budget process.
Financial modeling for scenario planning.
Investor financial management including oversight of financial statements and monthly summaries.
Management of equity tools and reporting.
Education and Experience:
BA/BS with a finance or economics concentration, PhD or advanced degree preferred.
3+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology companies, management consulting, and/or investment banking.
Other Skills:
Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to distill technical information, distinct opportunities, and time-bound options into a financial plan.
Capability to effectively interact across departments in pursuit of company goals.
Ability to communicate with scientists, software engineers, legal and commercial management.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
