Digital Signal Corporation is seeking a Director/ Sr. Manager Technical Support for their Chantilly, VA location.

The role of the Director/Sr. Manager Technical Support will be to oversee operations of a professional and front line technical work force (including Return Material Authorization RMA) and have a propensity to directly interact with customers. This role is responsible for directing and overseeing customer remote fix repair activities and operations of the Technical Support Department, developing business objectives, project standards, and performance goals (within assigned areas) that are competitive with industry standards, provide leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions, contribute to the development of the organization's business strategy, interpret business strategy and develop organizational objectives to align with this strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience in building a global support organization to support a rapidly expanding technology/service company
Develop business objectives, project standards and performance goals that are competitive with industry standards
Develop and manage all Tier 1 & 2 technical support activities (hardware & software)
Management of on-site remedial and preventive maintenance process
Develop and manage RMA procedure in conjunction with manufacturing organization (Epicor CRM experience a plus)
Strong organizational skills with excellent written and oral communications skills
Experience interacting with and presenting to senior customer management
SKills & Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree 8-12 years of experiences (3-5 years management)
Experience leading teams of technical specialists
Experience managing direct reports and individual contributors
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment (standing work, be able to lift 30lbs+, and perform physical tasks in hot/cold temperatures)
Biometric industry experience
Experience in the roll-out of enterprise CRM tool (Epicor preferred)
