Responsys: Strategy Director / Senior Director / VP ? Strategic Services (aka digital strategy all-leader)
Responsys is seeking a Strategic Services leader to provide direct leadership to a highly skilled team of client facing consultants. Your mission ? should you choose to accept it ? is to help our clients (ex. Under Armour, REI, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Southwest Airlines) leverage the power of digital marketing to drive new customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion opportunities. This highly visible and highly accountable role requires a unique combination of skills, experience, and marketing acumen.
The Director of Strategic Services will report to the Vice President of Strategic Services. Positions are currently open in our San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, Chicago, and New York City offices.
In this position, you will manage a team of consultants and guide Responsys clients in developing innovative cross-channel digital strategies.

Email Marketing and eCRM Evangelism. Use your digital passion to help spread the word to clients and prospects ? and be a key piece of our business development process to drive new business opportunities.
Careful Counsel. We all know clients can sometimes be difficult, arbitrarily changing their minds and timelines. You?ll use your consulting / agency life-lessons to deftly lead client engagements and become a trusted advisor for the client.
Know the Customer. Embrace your inner data-geek to understand connected customer behavior, develop new customer insights, and drive new targeted marketing opportunities.
Entrepreneurial Energy. You have that extra gear that most people don?t. Use it to move at a high velocity to stay ahead of our clients and to continually drive new and innovative ideas.
No More Silos. Use your digital passion and experience to help clients integrate eCRM strategy across digital channels ? email, website, search, mobile, and display.
Staying Hip. Digital media is constantly changing ? to stay at the top of our game, we need to continually monitor current digital trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies ? and then translate into new marketing ideas for clients.
Based on our experience, here are the things we think you need to find success in this role:
5 - 7 years proven experience using your digital knowledge to sell new client engagement and expand existing engagements
7 - 10 years deep experience in interactive marketing - email marketing, social media, website analytics, search marketing, online acquisition.
Experience and success managing a team of strategic consultants, ensuring quality work on existing client projects and driving personal growth
3 - 5+ years working in an agency or consulting firm
Hands-on skills using data to drive decisions ? proficiency in Excel is required, SAS experience a plus.
Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations ? proficiency in PowerPoint is required.
Ability to leverage business experience / acumen to identify new business and marketing opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with project management and interpersonal communication abilities (ability to produce professional reports and present to senior-level executives within client organizations.)
Strong listening and superior relationship building skills.
High intellectual curiosity, drive, determination, self-confidence and persuasion skills.
20-40% travel required
Bachelors Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred
