Reporting to the Vice President of Global Alliances, the Director of Strategic Technology Partners will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives with Jive?s named strategic technology partners. The Director will own & drive the strategic relationships and engagements with our key ecosystem partners. Additional responsibilities will include interacting with multiple Jive departments and developing and executing the long term vision for these key strategic partnerships. The selected candidate will influence key members inside and outside of his/her direct organization utilizing a mix of industry skills, to include technical expertise, sales, business development, and account management.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Developing and executing strategic plans with key alliances partners
Interacting with executive level managers at Jive?s partner organizations and inside Jive
Working closely with Global Alliances team to drive and implement partner strategies
Driving alignment at the Partner, Jive Sales and customer account with the goal of collaborating to develop net new sales contracts for Jive
Training and enabling key technology partners to articulate the joint value proposition and demonstrating integration points to close business with new customers.
Developing a deep understanding Jive?s product roadmap and strategy and driving partners to help implement Jive?s long term vision
Thinking ?big picture? and driving cross business unit initiatives
Developing KPIs with each partner to measure success and understand how to define appropriate goals and deliverables
Driving leads into the Jive and Key Partner sales funnels directly and through joint marketing efforts.
Through use of persuasive sales skills, collaborating with key partners to make sure Jive?s value proposition stays ?top of mind? in their sales and marketing teams? focus and efforts.
Working closely with Jive?s Partner marketing team to develop and implement creative marketing strategies that drive new business opportunities to Jive and the key partners? sales teams.
Providing regular updates and training to internal Jive as well as key partner personnel
Travel in support of partnership, as needed
Supporting sales teams within customer & prospect accounts
Developing trusted advisor relationships within Jive and our key partner organizations
Desired Skills and Experience:
Location Requirement: The person in this role must be based in the South Bay and be able to work at Jive?s Palo Alto and our key partner headquarter offices.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Alliances, Business Development or Strategic Marketing + Sales experience interfacing with major ecosystem partners.
5+ years of experience developing and implementing Partner Marketing strategies ? both Field Events and online webinars. With a goal - drive leads into our mutual funnels. Ideally, they will be politically savvy enough to assist with setting the strategy part of establishing partner marketing goals for their partners, WITH Jive Marketing & externally with the partner's marketing team as well
Direct experience developing and implementing new partner strategies in the collaboration software space is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time throughout the United States (and perhaps EMEA).
Ability to function at both a strategic and tactical level simultaneously
