The Director, Supply Chain Operations, is responsible and accountable for all logistics and planning activities at Aerohive. The talented person selected for this exciting and challenging position will oversee all material and data flow from our ODM partners to our final customers.
As part of Operations staff, the talented candidate will not only provide leadership, guidance, direction and focus to her/his team but will also advise/influence other functions across Aerohive. S/he has to create organizational networks and relationships which ensure world class operational excellence.
Define, lead and execute overall Logistics Network strategy
Responsible for end to end execution: from ODM to delivery to the customers
Manage supply availability and visibility of products from product launch to end-of-life
Manage capacity and production plan requirements working with the ODMs and the distribution partners
Define, lead and execute S&OP process to align the forecast and buffer across all the functions (Sales, Product Mgt, Finance, Operations)
Lead collaborative planning processes with key partners
Manage Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Demand Supply Matching
Manage and optimize WIP and FG inventory
Responsible of the order management (order processing, shipment, delivery)
Optimize P&L (revenue, cost), Balance sheet (inventory) and Customer metrics (on time shipment, on time delivery) closely working with Sales, Business Units and S&OP teams.
Ensure ownership and alignment is achieved between external and internal partners to meet Operations goals in delivery and in inventory driven costs.
Organize, hire, manage and develop a highly motivated and excellent team.
Manage Logistics and Freight providers (internal and external, 3PL)
Negotiate all business terms and conditions, as well as pricing with logistics and freight providers; responsible and accountable for Master Supplier Agreement negotiation with all logistics and freight providers.
Influence and escalate issues within Operations, Sales, S&OP, and finance teams; provide analytical support and make recommendations regarding planning, logistics, and inventory; prepares periodic status reports for Leadership.
Synthesize information on Supply Chain Operations (capacity, demand/supply dynamics) and influence Aerohive decisions with documented knowledge.
Responsible for Operations process excellence: decision support tools to automate and optimize the business objectives.
Responsible for structuring and managing Return/Repair (RMA).
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Engineering/Technical degree, and 15+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 10+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 or more years of management experience required. 2 levels of management experience highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of planning, supply chain, fulfillment, inventory management, logistics systems and best practices, combining with in-depth understanding of S&OP processes and logistics outsourcing.
Demonstrated strategy definition and implementation, leading to tangible results
Effective collaboration in cross-functional teams and can drive results with outsource partners.
Experience leading people and working effectively across functions and across business cultures (Asia and Europe).
Effective project management, negotiation, contract management and interpersonal communication skills.
Lean manufacturing experience, especially value-mapping
Recent business process experience will be a definitive advantage: forecast to delivery; order to cash
