Director-Western Region Operations Newgistics
The Director - Western Region Operations is responsible for the day to day operation of both parcel and fulfillment operations. Full P&L responsibility, development of his or her management team, achieving all operational metrics, reporting infrastructures, financial analysis, quality management, and processes to optimize the cost and performance of all fulfillment facilities and parcel throughout the Western Region. This individual will partner closely with Sales, Account Management, and Finance and Technology in defining requirements/solutions and ensuring that performance commitments are met by Operations.
1.Responsible for the day to day operations of 2 Parcel Smart Centers, 2 fulfillment centers and 1 combo location which houses all of the above operations under the same roof.
2.Develop, maintain, and improve all operations to support growth initiatives within our network operations, focusing on driving standardization and optimizing performance.
3.Manage the network quality initiatives and audit platforms, ensuring continuous improvement and expectations are exceeded.
4.Manage dashboards and analytical requirements to ensure cycle time, quality and operational KPI's are met. Develop operational changes and make improvements, to ensure optimum ROI's are achieved.
5.Manage site level P&L's ensuring financial goals are met. Expected to help in analysis for forecasting platform from an operations perspective, and be responsible for reviewing monthly financial reporting with facility managers. Will also need to assist with client pricing projects and tasks.
6.Oversee and assist with all new client rollouts from an operational perspective to ensure launches are a success at all facilities, resolving any issues internally for prompt resolution.
7.Develop action plans to resolve client or operational issues, yearly peak season plans and execute those plans.
8.Manage and be responsible for all operational projects and initiatives in the Western Region, including new facility deployments, new client implementation, and current operations project list.
9.Negotiate leases and contracts with local vendors.
10.Travel up to 25% to Western Region and nationally to NGS vendors/clients as needed.
11.Special projects and all other tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Y or N? Yes
--Bachelor's degree in Business and a minimum 7 - 10 years of experience within the third party fulfillment industry and small parcel operations, focused within the multi-client fulfillment and parcel environment.
--Most have strong proven team building and leadership skills.
--Must be able to speak and relate to a diverse multi-cultural workforce and be comfortable talking in front of large groups.
--Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving skills.
--Must possess strong mentoring skills for junior management.
--Knowledge in MS Word, excel,
--Expert knowledge in WMS systems.
--Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, as well as having excellent people and organizational skills.
