Summary:
SafeNet is committed to its? Distributor strategy and is seeking a qualified candidate that can immediately contribute to the growth and success of the distribution partner base within a given territory. The successful individual will possess a genuine desire to see his/her customers and partners successfully deliver next generation Data Protection with SafeNet?s innovative portfolio. A prospective SafeNet Distribution Account Manager will need to have an understanding of how to drive incremental revenue, develop and manage a mutually beneficial base of Distributors and be comfortable in a quota based compensation model.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: Four Year college degree (B.A / B.S.).
Experience:
Has 5-10 years of experience in distribution management
5 years plus Channel sales experience in developing and implementing channel strategic plans and initiatives, 2 years of related experience in a security, networking or infrastructure company within a two tier distribution environment.
Has previous experience in managing multiple distribution partners
Has an extensive understanding of operational and logistics requirements for two-tier distribution
Skills:
Strong communication skills mandatory with the ability to engage with all levels of a distribution partner organization
Strong presentation skills at all levels, business development acumen, and virtual team building
Capable of developing and presenting interesting solutions strategies, meeting /exceeding customer requirements/expectations
Results oriented and effective in customer situations comprising senior level management
Must have proven ability to work independently in a dynamic sales environment
Must demonstrate both personal integrity and the ability to exercise good judgment
Ability to perform job functions independently with limited supervision
Knowledge of sales of software or computer related products
Ability to manage business while achieving a high level of customer and partner satisfaction
Strong business planning skills and proven ability to execute and deliver a defined plan
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: (% of time)
Can create and execute a mid/long term strategic plan for North American distribution.
Implement short term tactical plan in alignment with long term distribution strategy.
Create and implement marketing plans and measuring ROI from funding investments
Result oriented and establishes clear metrics for measurement
Expands SafeNet reach within distribution accounts to increase brand awareness and partner base penetration
Builds a partner enablement plan in line with SafeNet channel requirements and goals
Utilizes distribution enablement and support services
Creates annual business plans, with measurable goals, and Scorecard reporting with distribution partners
Effective communication of & participation in SafeNet Channel Programs and Promotions
Works well within a team environment and leverages cross functional teams
Constant relationship building and networking within the distribution community at all functional levels
Execution of distribution established priorities
Prefer located in Colorado allowing the individual to reside onsite at distribution partners
