Education Required:
AA or equivalent education and job experience
Experience Required:
? At least 3 ? 5 years of working in Materials management in a fast paced distribution environment
? Previous experience working with consumables and reagents (frozen, cold and hazardous materials)
? Previous management experience
? Previous experience working in the life science industry is highly desirable
Primary Role:
? Responsible for all daily activities in the Shipping and Receiving areas
? Must act as a leader and take responsibility for inbound and outbound products, accuracy, storage and compliance
Job Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
? Runs the day to day activities of the Shipping and Receiving areas
? Uses the system of record to do all transactions, both receipt and decrement
? Receives Incoming material and dispositions appropriately.
? Receives final product from Manufacturing or vendors and dispositions (ambient, frozen, cold) into appropriate FGI location
? Records serial and lot numbers
? Decrements Inventory from system of record
? Maintains a current list/supply of MSDS?s
? Receives RMA material and dispositions It accordingly
? Works with incoming inspection to ensure products are dispositioned appropriately after inspection
? Responsible for maintaining Receiving records for all receipts
? Picks orders for shipment, packages shipments per SOP?s, and processes through shipping systems ( FedEx, etc.) to completion
? Kits work orders for Manufacturing builds
Secondary Responsibilities:
? Performs monthly cycle counts
? Assists in the resolution and corrective action of any and all distribution related customer complaints
? Assists In carrier selection and determining criteria for performance
? Participates as necessary on product or project core teams
? Assists in cutting purchase orders/blanket releases for Inventory/Production material through the use of ERP/MRP or manual requisitions
Skills Required:
? Complete understanding of the interdependencies between distribution, customer service, mfg, incoming inspection, finance and all other internal organizations
? Ability to understand customer and company priorities
? Strong knowledge of inventory management
? Experience handling hazardous materials
? Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities, plan schedules and coordinate efforts with customer service, manufacturing, materials, incoming inspection, service and sales
? Excellent people skills
? Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
? Effective communication skills to clearly articulate information to both internal and external customers
