Job Description
As a member of the Product Data Management Team, this individual will manage new drawings and modifications to support our New Product Introduction and product configuration management activities. The role will work with key stakeholders in engineering, manufacturing, and compliance to collect the necessary inputs and provide input to management to help drive improvements in our PDM standards and practices.
Specific job duties will include:
Manage ECOs/DCOs
Revise documentation per current standards and Engineering/ Manufacturing input
Incorporate Bill of Material changes as required
Determine revision levels, lifecycle status, & appropriate effectivity dates for changes
Finalize ECO packages, route, and release
Work with engineering to align part and assembly drawings with current standards
Update released parts using SolidWorks software (per Engineering, Manufacturing, and Vendor requirements)
Work with Engineering, Compliance, and Manufacturing to determine labeling requirements for new products
Create label part and drawing files using Bar Tender and Visio software packages
Standardize label material, sizes, graphic contents, and note/drawing requirements
Work with management and peers to drive best practices/standards for drawings, labels, and change management
Required Skills
Ability to ?hit the ground running? in an Agile PLM environment.
Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle /Product Change Management processes
Experience with BOM Structuring and principles of Product Configuration Management
Experience with SolidWorks, Visio, Bar Tender software a plus
Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
Collaborative team player
Ability to work well with people with varied requirements and compressed schedules.
