Position Summary:
The Domain Operations Developer is responsible for domain operations tools development, database updates/maintenance (where applicable), DNS system database (where applicable) for domain name products and services. The Domain Operations Developer requires extensive knowledge of domain name products and systems and will also provide support, direction, tool development and knowledge to other Client Service Managers.
Job Responsibilities:
system for action items. Perform audit of previous days work to ensure updates completed accurately and correctly. Includes database updates and overall tracking of open issues.
Overseeing the project development and management of several product initiatives related to the domain product that may or may not integrate with current platform. These include, but won?t be limited to who is parser, SSL Cert API, domain appraisal and domain sales platform and strategy for aftermarket, as well as tools for day to day use by Client Service Organization.
Develop and maintain domain acquisition database to capture historical and alias account information.
Identify and communicate areas of product improvement and enhancement.
Ability to learn software programs quickly to utilize them within the position
Advanced knowledge of PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Linux, SQL, Perl/CGI, Java Preferred.
Back up Hostmaster and Level2 Support / Experience with DNS
Establish and maintain exceptional relations with internal engineering resources and Operations staff.
Minimum Requirements:
BS CS or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills cross departmentally and with clients.
Excellent organization, management and decision-making skills.
Ability to analyze data at very fine level of detail.
Understanding of importance and urgency of client s needs.
Technical knowledge and experience with database management.
Ability to debug situations and offer creative and reasonable solutions.
Ability to work independently with little direction.
