The Dry Etch Process Engineer opportunity is in a high volume semiconductor wafer manufacturing environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
Implementation of new processes
Identifying and reducing sources of variation
Defining tool qualification procedures
Improving tool utilization and availability
Reducing cycle time
Identifying and qualifying new tools
Supporting development activities
Additional engineering responsibilities include:
Developing and writing specifications
Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods
Capacity planning and modeling
Improving cost performance of processes and hardware
Implementing manufacturing-worthy processes for new technologies
Participating in and/or leading cross-functional and lean activity teams
Additional candidate expectations:
Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and repair them.
Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact professionally with manufacturing and maintenance to deal with these issues and priorities.
Solid knowledge of process control, sampling optimization, data analysis and interpretation required.
Good foundational problem solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking intertwined.
Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self.
A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment.
BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or similarly relevant degree required with minimum 3.0 GPA
Prior internship or other relevant experience related to semiconductor processing, cleanroom manufacturing, or high vacuum processing is highly preferred.
Experience with design of experiments, statistical process control, or process modeling is desired.
