Who We Want:
We are looking for a unique sales leader. The Divisional Vice President is responsible for field level management of the Sales Directors and their opportunities. This person will be engaged in employee coaching and training, team leadership, prospect meetings, calls, and negotiations, territory reviews, forecasting for their region, strategic account planning and analysis, territory assessment, and market sizing for the Division they are managing. The successful candidate will work closely with the Vice President of Sales and other key team members to continuously evolve the sales strategy to achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives. The Divisional Vice President will assist with the successful hiring, training, and management of the Sales Director team.
Assist Sales Director team in contract negotiation and contract management to ensure product relevance, long-term client relationships, maximum profit margin, and potential for future business growth.
Provide leadership and management to the Sales Director team that encompasses the mission and core values of the company.
Measure and monitor sales activities within their region on weekly basis.
Interact regularly with sales leadership team to help ensure sales priorities are aligned with total company direction.
Ensure that each Sales Director has the proper training, knowledge, and skills to achieve sales objectives tied to long-term organizational goals.
Perform quarter employee evaluations and engage in regular coaching and feedback with Sales Directors.
Proactively commends and/or corrects behaviors or employee items which impact the business.
Helps recruit, selects and develops a high impact sales team.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree required
MBA is preferred
Proven track record in sales and sales management
Expertise in selling and managing salespeople of early-stage products
Selling to or managing a team that has limited or more junior sales experience.
Selling to or managing a team that has sold eCommerce-focused solutions
Selling to or managing a team that operates with speed and tenacity for transactional/mid-market opportunities.
Business data analysis (e.g., applied analysis of customer data, financial data, macro industry data, etc.)
Expert user of current web/online communication technologies, including browsers, search, email, instant messaging, and power point.
Advanced user of new and emerging web/online communication technologies.
Knowledge of online marketing techniques,technologies, and social media.
Passion for technology, particularly online communication/collaboration technologies.
