The E-Learning Developer - Training is a new position in 2U?s Training Department that will be responsible for the development of asynchronous online training courses and related materials and assessments. Additionally, this position will have responsibilities surrounding the deployment and ongoing maintenance of our internal Cornerstone Learning Management System.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Designing, developing and updating a variety of learning solutions (e-learning, Instructor-led training, virtual training sessions, and self-study programs)
Developing asynchronous content using software tools such as Articulate and Camtasia, including supplemental materials/guides as well as assessments
Driving overall learning design approach to ensure learning occurs by conducting assessments and analysis to identify learning needs and recommend training methods accordingly to ensure desired outcomes
Working with Training Managers and other internal subject matter experts to assess asynchronous learning needs and developing plans for e-learning course development
Ensuring that training solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning theory by monitoring and practicing the latest trends and techniques in adult learning and incorporating them into course designs
Designing and producing facilitator and participant guides
Performing System Admin tasks within the Cornerstone LMS that include uploading e-learning content, managing ILT and VILT sessions, maintaining all training materials contained within the LMS
Creating resources to assist users with the Cornerstone system
Managing testing and quality control of all assets throughout the production process
Things That Should Be in Your Background :
Bachelor?s degree in Design, Education, Communication, Organizational Design, Psychology, or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning.
Experience designing and developing blended learning including, e-learning, instructor-led training and virtual training (portfolio with work samples preferred)
Knowledge of instructional objectives, instructional strategy models, blended learning solutions, learning object methodology, and measurement standards
Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design Methodology , Adult Learning Theory
Knowledge of industry standard learning technologies (i.e. serious games, virtual learning platforms, LMS, graphics programs, rapid development tools)
Experience working with SMEs in a team environment
Experience with audio/video production and editing strongly preferred
Experience developing SCORM-compliant e-learning courses with a publishing tool such as Articulate required.
