POSTING: Functional Consultant, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
Location: Southeast US
LOCATION: Remote
TRAVEL: 75%
Basic PurposeWorks as a consulting team member or an individual business consultant on for-fee product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit projects. Expertise and work efforts are focused on the analysis of the customer's business goals, objectives and needs and the general business environment. Duties usually performed at customer's site. Serves as pre-sales support specialist when needed. Operates under minimal supervision on complex projects involving multiple products and/or platforms. Typically works on a team lead by a Business Billable Project manager, and reports to Infor Consulting Services Director. Usually requires six to nine years of experience in relevant industry business practices, or business consulting, preferably in distribution.
The Enterprise Asset Management implementation consultant is responsible for helping our clients configure and deploy Enterprise to meet their stated project objectives. In this capacity they are responsible for all aspects of the deployment of the company's distribution software at the client site. The consultant may have an Infor project manager assigned to oversee the account, or the consultant may need to play a project lead role in addition to implementation consultant.
The ideal candidate will combine strong business functional knowledge with an aptitude to analyze customers' business requirements and technology objectives; develops a project design using best practices to provide the desired solution to meet customers' business needs.
The candidate should have experience implementing ERP applications.
Excellent client management and interpersonal skills and the ability to rapidly identify and solve problems in a dynamic technical environment are also a must. The consultant must also be able to grasp a variety of often diverse and changing envoronments. The candidate must also be proficient with complex business requirements and able to rapidly learn on the job. Highly developed analytical and deductive skills and the ability to deliver senior client level presentations are also required. This position requires extensive travel 50-75%) within the continental United States.

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, engineering or computer science. Usually requires six to nine years of experience in relevant industry business practices, business consulting or technical consulting.
Specialized Knowledge and SkillsExcellent knowledge of business procedures and practices. Able to serve effectively as liaison between company and customers. Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and planning skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a team member and customer liaison. Proficient PC skills. Professional appearance and presentation required.
Desirable Skills
o 3 â€" 5 years professional consulting experience in client environments
o Knowledge and experience with enterprise-wide software systems (ERP, CRM, EAM)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
70% Works on single or multi-product projects, usually with multiple computer environments where design is complex. Work efforts focus on the analysis of the customer's business goals, objectives and needs, and the general business environment.
* Analyzes customers' business requirements and technology objectives; develops a project design to meet customers' business needs.
*70% of the Business Consultants time is billable out of a standard 2080 hour year.
* Estimates time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develops project plan incorporating all project variables.
* Sees that appropriate company resources are assigned to complete project tasks according to plan. Establishes criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs.
* Conducts periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan. Performs re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project.
* Prepares trip reports on all project activities.
20% Serves as senior-level pre-sales and post-sales technical support specialist when needed.
10% Acts as a liaison between customers and company.
