Description
We are seeking an Earned Media Strategist who will be part of the Covario Earned Media team and interacts with Organic Search, Paid Search, Project Management, and Account Management teams. The Strategist should possess a broad understanding of major disciplines of digital marketing with specialization in social media, relationship-based marketing, and content marketing relates to natural search specifically. The ability to develop and implement client strategy derived from solid understanding of how earned, paid, and owned media can work together to amplify one another will be key to the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
Serves as the main client contact and responsible for overall success of the client partnership with regards to Earned Media
Day-to-day client activities include but are not limited to:
Brainstorms and pitches ideas internally and to clients
Devises client-appropriate strategy and implementation
Manage timelines, deliverables, and related process documents
Participates in Earned Media related client calls and presents deliverables
Creates reports and presents campaign analysis, successes, and learning?s
Manages activities with key partners, vendors, and contractors
Develops valuation methodologies for assessing earned media successes
Researches and stays up-to-date of earned media, social media, and relationship-based marketing trends, platforms, developments, and vendors
Identifies new opportunities, recommends innovative and industry-leading strategies and service offerings for the Earned Media department
Pursues earned media amplification opportunities internally as well as within client organizations
Educates clients as well as colleagues through topical presentations on best practice and other industry insights
Qualifications:
Extensive work experience in digital marketing with a minimum of 3 years of previous work experience in an earned media or social media role
Working knowledge of natural search and content marketing
Previous agency experience
Presentation capabilities and comfort meeting with clients
Solid communication skill and the ability to articulate ideas and thoughts (written & verbal)
Self-starter; takes initiative; and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Willingness to experiment in earned media on behalf of our clients
Strong PowerPoint skills
Experience with Excel
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Four year college degree or equivalent in marketing, public relations, communication, or journalism
Bonus Skills:
Project management experience
Analytics knowledge (Coremetrics, Omniture, Google Analytics)
