Economics Tutor Position SMARTHINKING.com

Position Summary:

SMARTHINKING is hiring motivated individuals to serve as part-time, online tutors in Economics. A Washington, D.C.-based educational organization, SMARTHINKING provides real-time, online tutoring and learning services to colleges and high schools.



Responsibilities include tutoring secondary and post-secondary students in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Candidates can work from anywhere they have computer and Internet access. To qualify, candidates should have at least an undergraduate degree, teaching certificate and/or advanced degree in their area of expertise. Candidates can choose to work 9 to 19 hours per week.



The ideal candidate will have:

College and/or high school level teaching/tutoring experience in introductory and intermediate level courses.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to troubleshoot problems calmly in potentially stressful situations.
Strong typing skills.

Applications are encouraged from graduate and post-graduate students in Economics and from college Economics faculty.
