The EDI Analyst will implement electronic data interchange systems between companies by deploying systems using EDI HIPPA 278 standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
EDI Analyst will assist in delivering best-in-class software solutions by participating in the engineering of HealthHelp?s client server based products and ensuring that the products meet functional, technical and performance requirements.
Assist in maintaining EDI-user and technical documentation
Monitors and Responds daily to EDI processing issues for our customer
Research and provide technical solutions to problems
Lead and perform EDI analysis, research, and documentation of transactional data set requests and issues from internal and external customers as directed
Responsible for documentation and reports of EDI transactions analysis
Will create and execute software test case plans
Analyze and document EDI regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
Ensure the validity of all EDI analysis and documentation of EDI transactional data sets via business quality control measurements and practices.
Implement products with minimal defects, and ensures full compliance with HealthHelp?s standards of quality and defined business requirements
Provides technical support during and after implementation for healthcare electronic data interchange applications by working effectively with software engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance team members
Minimum Education/ Qualification/Requirement:
Bachelor?s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, computer sciences, or related field of study required
Degree emphasis on information systems or business analysis, preferred.
Familiar with a variety of the healthcare analyst concepts, practices, and procedures
3+ years of EDI operations and analysis experience in healthcare industry is required
Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience with the EDI HIPAA 278 standards is required
Advanced SQL Server skills with creating query scripts and stored procedures for data extract, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent documentation and process flow diagraming skills utilizing all of the Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Visio)
Good analytical skills with strong ability to diagnose system issues
Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple projects at once.
Customer service orientation
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
