Job Description:
The e-discovery marketing programs manager oversees the development, coordination and execution of Fios content for the website, publications, speaking engagements and lead generation programs. In addition, this role publically represents Fios online through social media and in person at industry events. This individual contributor reports to the manager of marketing communications and will work with the product management team in the promotion of Fios products and services. This individual has strong, well-founded opinions on the current and future state of e-discovery and can clearly articulate those opinions with a clear "voice"; both in written and in verbal format.
This position is also a key contributor in the development of strategic relationships with industry organizations (such as Sedona, EDRM, ILTA.), the e-discovery community at large, as well as individuals; connecting the company and its key staff with customers, prospects, analysts, editors, as well as select groups/associations by developing a reputation about him/herself as a wealth of practical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Create compelling, relevant content: Write, or oversee writing of, case studies, white papers, contributed articles, monthly newsletter articles, weekly blog posts, press releases, email copy and more to attract, inform and engage audience and influencers. Includes the creation, management and hosting of Fios' monthly webcasts.
Program management: Seek out marketing opportunities to showcase Fios content in a variety of mediums. This includes managing vendors and delivering objectives on time and within budget.
Represent Fios publically at industry and other Fios-sponsored events, customer and prospect meetings and editor/analyst meetings.
Nurture "friends of Fios" who are willing to participate in Sales and Marketing activities.
Create and lead presentations and discussions.
Track electronic discovery news and developments on a daily basis, using multiple information sources.
Leverage social media and other online channels such as online communities, online publications and other channels to disseminate Fios content.
Support product management: product promotion/campaigns, input on product messaging, identify potential early adopters and/or provide requirements feedback.
Identify and develop relationships with organizations and individuals that play a role in influencing and/or disseminating information to target audiences.
Qualifications:
5-7 years in legal field, preferably e-discovery.
2+ years professional content writing.
JD or demonstrable e-discovery experience a must. JD highly preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel as required, approximately 50 of the time.
Required Skills:
Prior experience developing marketing content across a variety of mediums including writing briefs, reviewing creative and providing feedback/direction, overseeing production and timelines, as well as vendor management necessary. Background leveraging all types of media and vehicles (print, web, email, video, etc.) is preferred.
Must be an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency, proven results orientation, initiative and an affinity for producing consistently high-quality work.
Deadline driven with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment is critical.
Creative thinking, critical analysis and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility/adaptability and ability to think on your feet needed to succeed in this role.
Outstanding writing, communication, editing and proofreading skills with demonstrated ability to successfully write for the web.
Excellent presentation skills; ability to demonstrate presentation and facilitation skills.
Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of management internally and externally.
Strong relationship building skills.
