Position Summary
RedBrick Health is looking for a Editorial Project Manager to develop and implement RedBrick?s publishing procedures in order to ensure quality at all stages of the editorial process.
This role requires someone who is comfortable dealing with everyone from company officers to new writers to clinical subject matter experts to producers ? as well as working within a deadline-driven work environment.
The Editorial Project Manager handles changing requirements with professionalism and is an important member of the Content Strategy & Behavior Design team and its stable of freelance contributors.
Essential Job Functions
Develop and maintain editorial and production schedules for targeted RedBrick interactive health products
Provide regular production updates, plan new schedules and alter existing ones to reflect changing priorities
Coordinate the work of in-house editorial staff and free-lance writers to ensure that content is delivered on time and with accuracy
Using knowledge of health, wellness and disease self-management concepts, adapt existing material for new audiences and clinical channels
Format content for production with attention to accuracy and detail
Implement editorial and style guidelines, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency across content; perform or coordinate copyediting and proofreading of product-related web content
Apply metadata and other tools to optimize the interactive content experience
Ensure consistency and quality of content adhering to RedBrick Health standards as directed by content strategist and director of content strategy
As needed, coordinate with translations agencies to ensure smooth delivery of multi-language requirements within production schedules
Work closely with the Digital Producer to ensure content is uploaded to CI?s online platforms in a timely manner
Assure that content is archived for future needs and reference
Maintain, enhance and enforce editorial style and workflow guidelines established by the Director of Content Strategy
As needed, write interactive health and wellness content in support of key products including promotional content, social network posts, and other consumer-facing health promotion material
Essential Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing/communications or a related field
Three or more years in project management, editorial content development or experience performing the skills needed for the essential job functions
Strong organizational, project management and administrative skills
Previous experience coordinating the work of content-producers
Enthusiasm for improving publishing processes
High level of attention to detail
Good working knowledge of project management tools
Basic understanding of content management systems
Team player
Able to enforce deadlines
Innovative, creative and open-minded
Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Clear communication ? written and verbal
Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
Meets deadlines/manages schedules
Extensive project management experience across a number of complex publishing projects
Strong writing, editing or copy-editing skills
Comfortable with and curious about technology, user of health & wellness online content and tools, familiar with popular apps
Job requires working on a personal computer for extended periods of time
Job requires frequent communication with remote customers and peers via email, Collaboration Tools, IM and phone
Job may require some travel
