With a worldwide network of surveyors, Zagat rates and reviews restaurants, hotels, nightlife, movies, music, golf, shopping and a range of other entertainment categories and is lauded as the ''most up-to-date,'' ''comprehensive'' and ''reliable'' guide ever published on all platforms. Zagat content is available to consumers wherever and whenever they need it: from the famous pocket-size, burgundy books, to Zagat.com and Google+ Local, to mobile apps. In 2011, Zagat was acquired by Google Inc.
Zagat Survey, the world's leading provider of consumer survey-based information on restaurants, nightlife, shopping, hotels and more, is seeking talented editors (long-term temp) to help us build our content. In addition to top-notch writing and editing skills, we are looking for people with an "ear" for the Zagat voice and the ability to synopsize user feedback and craft reviews that conform to our distinctive style and format. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of editorial experience, including project management, and be extremely organized and deadline-driven. Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus, as is knowledge of the restaurant, nightlife, retail or hotel/travel industries is a plus. We are looking for NYC-based editors.
