The primary function of the Education Consultant is to generate revenue by presenting system application training and to facilitate functional use of systems by customers. Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products. Interacts with customers and functional organizations to develop specifications for course content, including providing software consultation, technical support, training and installing new software as needed.
? Provide customer consultation, by determining customer needs, evaluating and recommending new hardware and software solutions, and/or isolating problems. In addition, provide advice on workflow, data structures and training strategies.
? Provide on-site training, by demonstrating system functionality, describing how the system and each of the applications work, and explaining how application set-up can affect system performance.
? Manage delivery of the Company?s contractual obligations, by plotting and tracking milestones, estimating and allocating resources for training, ensuring that the Company and the customer meet contractual obligations.
? Achieve revenue and ratio objectives, by soliciting on-site training, consulting and project management services for existing clients.
? Participate in reviewing current training curriculum, by suggesting areas for enhancement and change in training documentation and outlines. Also participates in writing ad preparing training manuals.
? Develop and update training material, by assessing customer?s needs and previous training material, writing educational material and ensuring material meets training requirements.
? Provide pre-sales support, when needed, by answering technical questions from prospects and showing system features in demonstrations.
? Minimum of 8 years experience in a technical training role.
? Experience in related industry a plus.
? Demonstrated experience in conducting classroom and remote training.
? Skilled writing ability for training program development.
? Professional training certifications a plus.
? Knowledge of and experience with software product training methodology.
? Strong experience across the entire ADDIE model.
? Solid problem solving skills as well as interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
? Perform as team leader as well as player.
? Strong presentation skills.
? Familiarity with the following programs used in a personal computer is a plus: Windows, Word, Excel, Corel Draw, MS Access, Captivate, MS Powerpoint, Adobe Framemaker.
? Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
? Ability to work independently and set own priorities.
