Description:
The Student Information System Specialist is responsible for the successful implementation, training and deployment of the Pinnacle Student Information System and other complex software solutions for educators primarily in the K-12 environment. A good candidate is self-motivated, has problem solving skills and is quick to learn.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the clients advocate for implementation of the Pinnacle Student Information System.
Work with the client to provide suggestions and recommendations for efficient and effective implementation of the product(s).
Provides technical support needed to resolve SIS problems including generation of report cards, scheduling, and Year-end procedures on a timely basis.
Must understand K-12 needs for Student Information Systems including but not limited to:
School Year configuration setup
Scheduling and advanced scheduling options/requirements
Attendance configuration
Grades / Transcripts
Student Demographics
Understands the various deployment options of the Pinnacle Suite and Student Information Systems and maps these options to fulfill real-world client workflows and needs.
Communicates with the client on the implementation process and status.
Provides clients with the latest information on version upgrades of products and new features available.
Shares clients needs and effectively communicates them to Development, QA, Documentation, Support, and other individuals or teams.
Works closely with the Development & QA Managers to ensure delivery of quality product to clients.
Provides clients with instructional services needed for a successfully implementation of the product including demonstrations, trainings and configuration meetings.
Promotes and maintains a positive relationship between the client and the organization.
Promotes and maintains a positive relationship with other technical staff and departments to support the successful implementation of Pinnacle Suite of products.
Travel throughout the United States and possible overseas.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience administrating a Student Information System in the education environment, specifically K-12.
Highly organized with the ability to learn quickly, understand and explain educational and technical information.
Must be able to analyze client issues and develop creative technical solutions which minimize risk and ensure successful deployment of software solutions.
Must work effectively under pressure in order to meet the needs of the clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to comprehend and communicate educational and technical information precisely.
Good interpersonal skills; highly motivated and flexible.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Works well independently and in a team environment.
