This customer-facing/technical leadership role will work with operations staff, customers and internal stakeholders to provide the technical vision for the HIE/eHealth Operations team. Working in partnership with the Solutions Architects, Project Managers, Implementation Engineers, Support Engineers and Systems Engineers you will translate customer requirements into technical designs by choosing the proper mix of HIE/eHealth solutions for each customer environment. Additionally, the Senior LSD will provide technical direction to the other members of the team, evaluate newer technologies and interoperability standards and mentor/train operations staff members on these newer technologies and standards.
Essential Resposibilities:
? Lead technical resource on customer implementations
? Complete understanding of identified use cases and transaction performance
? Go to person for all aspects of the design
? Technical liaison to consultants and 3rd party vendors that may be involved in the implementation
? Customer-facing expert for HIE Services and use case questions
? Resource for new implementation variants
? Provide direct input on product design to Engineering
? Provides technical guidance and direction to the operations team
? Drives technical priorities for the operations teams
? Standardize design decisions across implementations
? Identifies and removes project obstacles for the operations teams
? Support the RFP process with technical knowledge of the product and standards
? Present on HIE solutions to our customers pre and post sales
? Establishes meaningful relationships with key customers and technology partners
? Facilitates/performs technical knowledge transfer to the team on newer technologies or anticipated changes to the product or process
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
? Minimum 7 years professional experience in assessing and architecting solutions within the Healthcare IT industry
? Bachelor?s degree in relevant field
? Deep practical knowledge of:
- Interoperability capabilities: HITSP / IHE / HL7
- EMPI / Patient Identity solutions
- HIE policies related to "4A's" (Authorization, Authentication, Access Control, Audit trail), HIPAA
- Security / Technical Network, PKI, ATNA, CCOW, SSO, SAML, etc
- HIE Governance and sustainability models, security and privacy policies
- Knowledge of other GE Healthcare IT clinical products
? Excellent customer interaction and partnering skills
? Ability to travel up to 20%
Desired Characteristics:
? Well-versed in the HIE market, including familiarity with competitive offerings
? Extensive prior career experience with the Healthcare IT market
? Previous experience with commercially available HIE/eHealth solutions
? Program / project management background, training, or experience
? Extensive experience with guiding and directing technical teams
? MS or MBA with Healthcare or IT focus
? Superior written and verbal communication abilities
