We are seeking an eLearning Project Manager in our Pittsburgh, PA location.
The eLearning Project Manager manages the development of Vocollect?s eLearning training offerings for both business partners and end customers. The eLearning project manager is responsible for providing the detailed project management discipline that is necessary to maximize performance on eLearning training development projects. This involves creating complete project plans, collaborating with functional managers to ensure availability of resources, working with the Director of Global Training to develop course plans, and tracking performance against targets. Other instructor led course development projects may also be assigned to the eLearning project manager. Curriculum development work will be required periodically as well. The position requires experience in managing training and/or documentation development projects showing demonstrable success. The position also requires deep experience with traditional and eLearning instructional design and curriculum development.
?Manages multiple training course development projects. Produce detailed project plans specifying project's technical scope, goals per project phase, project objectives and strategy, staffing requirements, budget, risks, contingency plans and allocation of resources.
?Coordinate assignments of project personnel (Curriculum Developers, SMEs, Contractors, etc.) duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project team.
?Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
?Review status updates prepared by project personnel and modify schedules and plan as required.
?Prepare project status reports and keep the team, management and others informed of project status and related issues.
?Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications.
?Ensure that all project documentation is complete and accurate.
?Administer and manage business relationships with external resources such as design firms, consultants and partners.
?Develop eLearning training courses based upon technical documentation for both highly technical and non-technical audiences
?Create detailed eLearning course storyboards and coordinate transition to course production
Bachelor?s Degree required
?5 years of project management experience managing technical training and/or documentation projects
?5 years developing partner, end-user and train-the-trainer training materials for audiences of varying technical levels
?Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects while leading teams with minimal supervision.
?Demonstrable excellence in communication, writing and editing skills
?Advanced knowledge of various eLearning course development applications, including Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Flash, XML editors, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat
?Ability to adapt to evolving products and technology; experience in a high technology company.
?Candidate must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently as the situation warrants.
